ரூ.9,928.33 கோடியில் கோயம்பேடு-பட்டாபிராம் இடையே அமைய உள்ள மெட்ரோ ரயில் திட்டத்துக்கு தமிழக அரசு ஒப்புதல் வழங்கி உள்ளது.

சென்னையில், மெட்ரோ ரயில் திட்டத்தை விரிவுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில், கோயம்பேடு – பட்டாபிராம் இடையே நீட்டிக்க முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டு பல்வேறு கட்ட ஆய்வு பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.

இதுதொடர்பாக, கோயம்பேடு – பட்டாபிராம் வெளிவட்டச் சாலை வரையிலான மெட்ரோ ரயில் விரிவாக்க திட்ட அறிக்கையை, சென்னை மெட்ரோ ரயில் நிறுவனம் கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் 20-ம் தேதி தமிழக அரசிடம் ஒப்படைத்தது.

ரூ.9,928 கோடியில் திட்டம்: இந்த திட்டத்தை ஆய்வு செய்த தமிழக அரசு ரூ.9,928.33 கோடியில் செயல்படுத்த தமிழக அரசு ஒப்புதல் அளித்து அரசாணை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

இத்திட்டத்துக்கு மத்திய அரசின் நிதி பங்களிப்புக்கும், பன்னாட்டு நிதி உதவி கோரவும் தமிழக அரசு அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது. மொத்தம் 21.76 கி.மீ., துாரம் கொண்ட இந்த வழித் தடம், கோயம்பேட்டில் தொடங்கி, பாடிபுதுநகர், முகப்பேர், அம்பத்துார், திருமுல்லைவாயில், ஆவடி வழியாக பட்டாபிராம் வெளிவட்ட சாலையை இணைக்கும்.
